Overview

Wellness Roundtable is a groundbreaking platform designed by Dr. Scott Weiss and David Spierer to revolutionize how physical therapists and healthcare professionals interact with patients. The platform enables users to book video consultations with multiple healthcare experts at once for 15, 30, or 45-minute sessions. Gigareef partnered with the founders to transform this vision into a fully functional, user-friendly platform that serves both healthcare providers and patients with ease.

Project background

Dr. Scott Weiss and David Spierer came to Gigareef with the concept of creating a digital healthcare marketplace that would allow patients to interact with multiple specialists in one session. The goal was to provide a seamless experience where experts could offer their services across time zones, while patients could easily schedule, consult, and rate their experiences. Gigareef adopted an agile development approach, breaking the project into 2-week sprints to focus on individual feature builds while ensuring continuous feedback from the client.

Stripe Connect for Payment Division

Like Uber for healthcare professionals, Stripe Connect allows payments to be automatically divided between the users and experts based on the session. The system ensures a seamless and secure transaction process for both sides.

Expert Rating System

After each session (called a 'Roundtable'), users can rate their experience with the experts. These ratings are displayed for future users to help make informed decisions when selecting healthcare professionals.

Expert Scheduling Across Time Zones

Experts can set their availability in their local time zone, and the platform automatically adjusts for users. This ensures an effortless booking process, allowing patients to schedule based on real-time expert availability.

Group Video Chat with Up to 4 Participants

The platform supports group video sessions, enabling up to 4 participants to join a single video chat, creating a collaborative and interactive healthcare consultation experience.

Instant Messaging and Notification System

The platform includes an integrated messaging system, allowing users and experts to communicate before and after the Roundtable. Notifications are also sent to users regarding upcoming sessions, updates, and reminders.
